Excellent tour with Isaias of Guatemala City, Volcan Pacaya, and Lake Atitlan

My girlfriend and I were in Guatemala for a couple of extra days for a wedding. We chose Tours Atitlan based on the Trip Advisor reviews and were not let down. We were picked up directly from the airport, did a tour of Guatemala City and then went straight to Volcan Pacaya for a 2-3 hour hike. The next morning we did a day trip to Lake Atitlan which included horseback riding and a boat ride across the lake.

Overall Isaias did a great job and was a very enjoyable person to be around. His interest in bird watching is also very fascinating and he is a great photographer because of it. The tour was very smooth and very well planned. Our driver, Ricardo, was also a very nice man.

I am very happy with our choice to choose a private tour with Tours Atitlan instead of doing a larger group tour. For anyone trying to make a decision on whether or not to spend the extra money on a private tour versus a group tour I would highly recommend the private tour. It is a much more intimate experience and you are free to do what you want versus have to travel with 10-15 other people and maintain a structured schedule.

If I visit Guatemala again I will continue to use this company.

    Excellent experience, well organized trip

“We travelled to Guatemala for 8 days with Volan adventures, all was organized excellent, driver and guides were awesome, well done and thanks for a great Guatemala experience. I would like to emphasis Noach which guided us at the Mayan Ruins and added an animal experience to our tour which we weren’t expecting.”
